WHAT IS THE MYSTERY QUILT?
If you haven't taken part in the Quilters' Lane Mystery before you are in for a treat! You choose the size and fabrics you want from our beautiful selection of brand new designer prints, and everything is ready cut for you to the perfect size using die cutters.
Each month for ten months you receive a fabric pack and instructions for how to sew the pieces together. No cutting, just sit down and sew!
In the tenth month is the Big Reveal, where you get to see the finished quilt and join your clues together to make a beautiful quilt top.
We also provide you with matching binding fabric.
The Mystery Quilt has been running since 2013 and Sheila's designs are so popular that her Mystery Quilts are now sold to thousands of quilters around the world, from Greenland to Brazil.
FINISHED QUILT SIZES
These are generous sizes - if in doubt measure your mattress and allow for your desired overhang.
Twin 58" x 70" - a perfect size for a single mattress.
Queen 88" x 88" - not just a mattress topper, it allows for overhang at the sides and bottom of the bed.
PRICING
Despite increases in fabric prices we are keeping our pricing the same for this Mystery.
TWIN: $49 per month or $475 payment in full
QUEEN: $65 per month or $635 payment in full
FREE STANDARD SHIPPING. Quilts paid in full will have all the fabric shipped in one go, and clues will be emailed each month.
RURAL DELIVERY is an extra $5 per month or $50 total. However this can be waived for payment in full as we send all of the fabric in one go and then email the clues.
AUSTRALIA: Shipping will be charged separately (we will send you an invoice). We will ship the fabric in one go and then email the clues to you.
OPTIONS
OOPS KITS
Did the dog eat your triangle? Or are you missing a part and really want to get the block finished rather than wait for us to send you a replacement? Never fear, we will be offering 'Oops Kits' this year.
Any fabric you don't need could be used to add a flourish to your border, create a mini project to go with your quilt, or add some extra interest to your backing - the choice is up to you.
Oops Kits must be ordered at the same time as your quilt.
Price: $20 per kit which contains 6 Fat Eighths.
EXTRA FABRIC
Availability of extra fabric may be limited - but if you don't ask you don't get, right? If you wish to make your quilt larger than the standard size, let us know in a note with your order and we will do our best to get you the extra. We can order this fabric about 4-5 months after the Mystery starts.
HOW TO ORDER
We send your ready-cut pieces with instructions each month starting as soon as they arrive.
After December 1st some colourways may have sold out. We will try to keep availability up to date on the website, but this is not guaranteed. If you order a colourway that we cannot get we will offer you a full refund or an alternative colourway.

The official start date is February 2nd 2024. For the current Mystery, Carnival, our packs arrived about a month late and we sent the first two out together. We are working hard to get the delivery earlier, but we may be subject to delays beyond our control.

All payments must be up to date before we despatch each pack.
You can set up your monthly payments by credit card or by Poli (bank transfer).
The Big Reveal is on November 2nd 2024 - this is when we will send out the final packs that include your borders, binding and finishing instructions.
